Fully online service

+ In person: submit the dossier directly at the headquarters of the Immigration Department.

+ Online: submit an online application via the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security.

+ Postal service: submit the application entirely via the public postal service or submit additional documents via the public postal service according to the notice of the Immigration Department on the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security (if any).

Step 2: Submit your dossier

* Agencies and organizations in Vietnam directly submit at office hours on working days of the week or send the dossier via the public postal service to one of the two headquarters of the Immigration Department - the Ministry of Public Security:

+ Number 44-46 Tran Phu, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi city.

+ Number 333-335-337 Nguyen Trai, District 1, City. Ho Chi Minh.

Or submit an online application via the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security and send additional documents via the public postal service according to the notice of the Immigration Department on the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security (if any).

* In case of directly submitting dossiers:

Immigration officers who receive dossiers to check the legality and contents of dossiers shall:

+ If the written request for granting an electronic account is complete, receive the request, and print the receipt and give it to the submitter.

+ If the content of the written request for granting an electronic account is incomplete, request the agency or organization to supplement it.

* In case the application is submitted entirely via the public postal service:

Immigration officers receive dossiers to check the legality and contents of dossiers shall:

+ If the content of the written request for granting an electronic account is incomplete, a written request is made to the agency or organization for supplementation.

+ If the written request for granting an electronic account is complete, the granting an electronic account shall be considered and approved.

* In case of online application:

+ If the dossier is complete and valid, the officer receiving the dossier shall notify on the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security.

+ If the dossier is incomplete or invalid, the officer receiving the dossier shall notify on the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security for the applicant to complete the application.

+ If the application is not eligible, refused the application, and notify on the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security, clearly stating the reason.

* Applicants for an electronic account can request to receive results by postal service and must pay a delivery fee.

* Time to receive documents: From Monday to Saturday morning (except New Year's Day, public holiday).

Step 3: Receive the result

+ Agencies and organizations directly receive the official reply at the Immigration Department or receive the results by post (follow the instructions of the postal service provider) or receive the electronic document via the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security. .

+ Time to receive results: From Monday to Friday every week (except Tet and public holidays).

In case of online application, the content of dossier must be authenticated electronically according to regulations, in case the dossier has not been authenticated electronically, the dossier must be sent to the receiving authority via the public postal service.

+ Number of dossiers: 01 (one) set.

Before applying for an electronic account , the agency or organization must send a written notice to the Immigration Department, the Ministry of Public Security, enclosed with a dossier including: A certified copy of the permit or decision of competent authority on the establishment of the organization; document introducing the seal, signature of the authorized person of the organization .

+ Official letter replying to the request for granting an electronic account (NB8).

+ In case the electronic account is not granted, the Immigration Department shall reply in writing: Notice of refusal to grant an electronic account (NB9).
